Kerala Launches India’s First Online Permanent Lok Adalat Services

Kerala has become the first state in India to launch online services for Permanent Lok Adalats, allowing both the filing and hearing of cases through digital platforms.

Lok Adalat is an alternative dispute resolution platform through which disputes are amicably settled.

This initiative by the Kerala State Legal Services Authority (KELSA) aims to enhance access to justice, particularly for individuals residing in remote areas, thereby saving time, resources, and effort.

The system will be fully functional by early May 2025 with support from e-Sewa Kendras and local legal aid centers.

It reflects the judiciary's commitment to affordable, inclusive, and tech-driven legal services.
