Chhattisgarh NIA Court Grants Bail to Kerala Nuns in Alleged Forced Conversion Case

A Special NIA Court in Bilaspur granted bail to Kerala nuns Preethi Mary and Vandana Francis and Sukaman Mandavi, arrested in an alleged forced conversion and human trafficking case.

They were arrested at Durg railway station after a Bajrang Dal member claimed they had trafficked and forcibly converted three tribal women from Narayanpur district.

The bail applications were heard by Principal District and Sessions Judge (NIA Court) Sirajuddin Qureshi on Friday. After considering the submissions, the court granted bail, directing the accused to cooperate with the investigation.
