Three Arrested in Gang-Rape Case of 23-Year-Old Law Student at South Calcutta Law College

A 23-year-old law student from South Calcutta Law College was allegedly gang-raped on campus on June 25 between 7:30 PM and 10:50 PM. 

She filed a written complaint, after which Kolkata Police arrested three men, one a former student-turned-lawyer and two college staff. 

The case is registered under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code. Two accused were caught near Talbagan Crossing, while the third was arrested at his home. 

Their mobile phones have been seized. All three were sent to 4-day police custody after being produced in the Alipore court. Investigation is ongoing.
