Kunal Kamra Moves Bombay High Court to Quash FIR Over Video on Eknath Shinde; Hearing Scheduled for Tomorrow

Comedian Kunal Kamra has approached the Bombay High Court to quash an FIR filed against him for a video allegedly referring to Maharashtra Deputy CM Eknath Shinde. 

During today’s hearing, Senior Advocate Navroz Seervai informed a division bench that Kamra’s interim anticipatory bail is set to expire today, prompting the court to schedule an urgent hearing for tomorrow. 

The FIR was based on a complaint by Shiv Sena MLA Muraji Patel and is now being handled by Khar Police.

On 29th March 2025, the Madras High Court granted Kamra interim anticipatory bail.
