The Delhi High Court framed criminal contempt charges against a lawyer for making scandalous allegations against a judicial officer both in court and through a LinkedIn post.
The case arose from a suo motu reference, where the lawyer allegedly used unparliamentary language and accused the judge of collusion during proceedings.
Despite denying authorship of the post, investigations linked the LinkedIn account to her through email, IP logs, and mobile numbers.
The Court found prima facie evidence that her actions lowered judicial authority and interfered with justice administration, framing two charges under the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971.
