Madhya Pradesh High Court Seeks Centre, State Response on Plea for Better Flight Connectivity to Gwalior

The Madhya Pradesh High Court has asked the central and state governments to respond to a plea seeking enhanced air connectivity to Gwalior, highlighting the city’s significance as a hub for tourism and business.

The bench directed the government counsel to seek instructions and posted the matter for further hearing in December. It was observed that improved air links could aid regional development and economic growth.

The petitioner contended that despite an expenditure of around ₹500 crore on developing the Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Airport, only three flights currently operate from Gwalior.
