Madhya Pradesh HC Directs Rape Accused to Submit Gadgets, Social Media Password for Investigation

The Madhya Pradesh High Court while granting anticipatory bail to a rape accused under Section 376(2)(n) Indian Penal Code, 1860 (IPC), directed him to hand over all electronic gadgets and social media passwords to the investigating agency.

The court also instructed them to submit documents and intimate photographs of the victim. The court emphasized cooperation and ordered the agency to return gadgets after extracting data.

The bail was granted considering their long relationship (2010-2018) and the delayed First Information Report (FIR), without commenting on the case's merits.
