Madras High Court Bars TNSTC Buses from Using Four Toll Plazas Over ₹276 Crore Dues

The Madras High Court has barred Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) buses from using four National Highway toll plazas due to unpaid toll dues of ₹276 crores.

The order came after petitions by toll companies claiming financial losses as TNSTC buses allegedly bypassed toll payments and operated without FASTags. Despite prior notices, TNSTC failed to submit a repayment plan.

The Court ordered toll operators to block buses from July 10 until the dues are cleared. Police have been directed to ensure law and order and protect toll staff.

The Court urged a speedy resolution to avoid inconvenience to the public.
