Madras High Court Dismisses Tamannaah Bhatia’s ₹1 Crore Claim Against Power Soaps

The Madras High Court dismissed actress Tamannaah Bhatia’s appeal seeking ₹1 crore in damages against Power Soaps for alleged unauthorised use of her images after expiry of an endorsement agreement.

The Court upheld the earlier single-judge decision, finding that she failed to produce credible evidence linking the company to the alleged misuse.

Materials such as product wrappers and online listings were considered unreliable and insufficient to prove continued use beyond the contract period.

Concluding that no clear breach was established, the Division Bench refused to interfere with the earlier ruling, effectively closing the long-standing dispute in favour of the company.
