The Mangalore Bar Association has filed a PIL in the Karnataka High Court, highlighting defects in the newly introduced software for property registration, Kaveri 2.0.
The association argued that the software is not aligned with legal provisions and has hindered the registration of certain documents, such as undivided rights and vacant spaces in apartments.
They sought the suspension of Kaveri 2.0 and requested the formation of an expert body, including bar representatives, to develop legally compliant and error-free software.
The matter is scheduled for a hearing on March 24.
