Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has urged Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to lift the ban on the sale of Totapuri mangoes from Karnataka in Chittoor district.
In a letter, Siddaramaiah highlighted that the ban adversely impacts farmers and mango traders and warned of possible retaliatory measures if the restriction continues.
He emphasized the long-standing trade relationship between the two states and called the ban unjustified.
The Karnataka CM also reminded Naidu of his government’s commitment to cooperative federalism and requested immediate intervention to resolve the issue, ensuring the free movement of agricultural goods across state borders.
