MP High Court upholds Guard’s Compulsory Retirement for Sleeping Drunk at Judge's Bungalow

The Madhya Pradesh High Court upheld the compulsory retirement of a guard found asleep and smelling of alcohol at a judge’s residence in 2007.

Although a medical report found no intoxication, the Court held that the smell alone confirmed alcohol consumption

Justice GS Ahluwalia noted that alcohol consumption by security personnel is serious misconduct, especially given the duty to remain vigilant.
