MP Judge Writes to SC Collegium Opposing Promotion of Senior Judge Over Caste Harassment Allegations

Civil Judge Aditi Kumar Sharma has written to the Supreme Court Collegium opposing the elevation of Ujjain District Judge Rajesh Kumar Gupta to the Madhya Pradesh High Court.

She alleged caste-based harassment, abuse of power, and personal vendetta, claiming Gupta orchestrated a biased inquiry that led to her wrongful dismissal in 2023, later overturned by the Supreme Court.

Sharma urged the Collegium to reconsider his promotion, citing pending complaints and warning it would damage public confidence in the judiciary. She also sought protection from retaliation and called for an independent inquiry.
