MS Dhoni Application for Trademark Over 'Captain Cool' Accepted

Former Indian cricket captain MS Dhoni has applied to trademark the title "Captain Cool," widely associated with his calm leadership style.

Filed in June 2023 under Class 41 (covering education, sports, and entertainment), the application was accepted and advertised in the Trademarks Journal on June 16, 2025, by the Kolkata office. 

The mark aims to grant Dhoni exclusive rights to use the title for commercial purposes in areas like sports training and coaching.

The trademark now awaits a potential 120-day objection period, after which, if unopposed, it will be officially registered in his name.
