Mumbai Cardiologist Faces FIR for Allegedly Claiming Pension as ‘Widow’ of late MLC Adik

An FIR was filed against Dr. Lekha Pathak for cheating and forgery after she falsely claimed to be the widow of former Maharashtra Deputy CM and Maharashtra Legislative Council (MLC), Ramrao Adik, to get his pension.

Adik’s son, Prithviraj, filed the complaint after discovering that Pathak, who was in a live-in relationship with Adik, claimed to be his widow despite never being legally married.

The Esplanade court under Section 156(3) of CrPC ordered an FIR and said the complaint is well supported with the affidavit of the complainant.

The FIR was registered on March 1, 2025, after an RTI reply exposed her false claims.
