Mumbai Court Orders Takedown of CarryMinati’s Allegedly Defamatory Videos on Karan Johar

A Mumbai sessions court has restrained YouTuber Ajey Nagar (CarryMinati) and others from publishing or circulating allegedly defamatory content against filmmaker Karan Johar.

Observing that the videos contained prima facie vulgar and abusive statements, the Court directed their immediate takedown and granted an ad-interim injunction against further circulation, including by unidentified persons.

The Court also ordered Meta Platforms to remove flagged video links.

The matter will be heard further on Johar’s plea seeking interim relief.
