Mumbai Police Closes Forgery Case Against Shweta Tiwari

The Bombay HC recently allowed TV actress Shweta Tiwari to withdraw her petition seeking to quash an FIR filed by her estranged husband, Abhinav Kohli, who had accused her of forging his signature on a no-objection certificate (NOC) for their son’s visa application to the UK in 2017.

The case stemmed from a dispute over the NOC, which Kohli claimed was forged. However, after an investigation, the Mumbai Police filed an "A-Summary Report" in December 2024; stating no evidence to support the allegations.

Kohli intends to file a Protest Petition. The court clarified that withdrawal doesn’t prevent further legal action.
