NALSA Launches Legal Aid Scheme for Defence Personnel, Families

The National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) has launched the Veer Parivar Sahayata Yojana to improve legal aid access for defence personnel and their families.

Announced during a regional conference in Srinagar, the scheme sets up legal service clinics at Sainik Boards across local, state, and central levels.

Supreme Court judge and NALSA Executive Chairman Justice Surya Kant emphasised that soldiers deserve strong legal support while they protect the nation.

The initiative will also involve ex-servicemen and defence families as paralegal volunteers, helping with civil disputes, service matters, and other legal issues faced by the armed forces.
