NBDSA Directs News18 to Remove Remove Broadcast Falsely Linking Tirupati Laddu Dispute to Congress

The News Broadcasting and Digital Standards Authority (NBDSA) has ordered News18 Rajasthan to take down a video that falsely alleged a connection between the use of beef fat in Tirupati laddus and the Congress party.

Indrajeet Ghorpade filed a complaint stating that the broadcast spread false information and was not neutral.

NBDSA determined that the program deviated from its main topic and did not adhere to journalistic standards.

The channel was also told to follow strict reporting rules in future broadcasts.

NBDSA noted that the video remains on YouTube and ordered its removal from all platforms.
