NCLT Approves Liquidation of Go First Airways Amid Insolvency Crisis

Go First Airways has been ordered to liquidate by the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), marking the end of its operations.

The tribunal, led by Judicial Member Mahendra Khandelwal and Technical Member Dr. Sanjeev Ranjan, approved the liquidation request filed by the Committee of Creditors (CoC) in 2024 after the airline lost its fleet and faced debts of ₹11,000 crores.

The airline entered insolvency in May 2023 under Section 10 of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC), and by 2024, its fleet was deregistered following a Delhi High Court order.

The CoC has appointed Dinkar Venkatasubramanian as the liquidator to manage the remaining assets, including ₹3,000 crore in land.
