NCLT Chandigarh Approves Merger of RedBus India Into MakeMyTrip (India)

The National Company Law Tribunal, Chandigarh Bench, has approved the merger of RedBus India Private Limited into MakeMyTrip (India) Private Limited.

The Tribunal said the merger would enable the MakeMyTrip group to run its travel and bus ticketing operations in India through a single entity.

It noted that shareholders and creditors of both companies had consented to the scheme and that no objections were raised by statutory authorities.

The Court held that the revised appointed date of 1 January 2026 would align the merger with the financial year and avoid restatement of accounts.
