NDTV Wins Trademark Battle: Delhi High Court Orders Takedown of Fake Sites, Channels, and Handles

The Delhi High Court has restrained several websites, social media platforms, and digital accounts from misusing the well-known trademark “NDTV.”

Justice Manmeet Pritam Singh Arora granted an ex parte interim injunction after NDTV showed that over 120 'X' handles, 35 YouTube channels, 16 Telegram groups, 86 Facebook pages, and multiple domains were unlawfully using its mark to impersonate the broadcaster.

The Court directed domain registrars, Meta, X, Google, YouTube, and Telegram to block the infringing platforms and disclose user details.

It also permitted NDTV to implead future infringers, safeguarding its brand reputation and credibility in journalism.
