NIA Achieves Unprecedented 100% Conviction Rate in 2024

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) achieved a 100% conviction rate in 2024, convicting 68 accused in 25 cases, bolstered by its rigorous investigations and legal strategies. 

It registered 80 cases, arrested 210 accused, and filed chargesheets against 408, targeting Left Wing Extremism (28 cases), North East insurgency (18 cases), and terror networks like Khalistan and ISIS. 

Highlights include arms seizures across major cities and the conviction of terrorists like Kulwinderjeet Singh for attacks on national landmarks. 

Efforts included strengthening capacities with new NIA courts, training police officials, and publishing a handbook on Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) investigations, cementing its role in national security.
