Supreme Court Upholds Acquittal of Moninder Singh Pandher, Surendra Koli in Nithari Killings

The Supreme Court has dismissed 14 appeals filed by the CBI and victims’ families, effectively upholding the 2023 Allahabad High Court verdict that acquitted Moninder Singh Pandher and Surendra Koli in multiple Nithari murder cases.

While Pandher walks free in all cases, Koli remains behind bars, serving life in one case where his conviction was upheld earlier. The chilling Nithari killings shook the nation in 2006 when remains of several children were found near Pandher’s Noida home.
