NLU Delhi Appoints Former CJI DY Chandrachud as Distinguished Professor

National Law University Delhi has appointed a former CJI DY Chandrachud, as a Distinguished Professor and will establish a Centre for Constitutional Studies under his research leadership.

The initiative aims to enhance academic inquiry in areas such as constitutional morality, transformative constitutionalism, and fundamental rights. 

The university also announced the launch of a new lecture series titled In the Spirit of Justice: The DYC Distinguished Lecture Series’, beginning in July 2025.

The series will delve into landmark judgments on privacy, LGBTQ+ rights, gender justice, digital freedoms, and judicial reforms. The next academic session featuring this collaboration will commence in July.
