The Bombay High Court has denied bail to businessman Vishal Agarwal and seven other accused in the Pune Porsche crash case, in which two software engineers were killed.
The Court was dealing with bail pleas arising from allegations that the accused conspired to tamper with blood samples to shield a minor driver involved in the accident.
It held that the matter was not fit for bail, noting that concerns over witness intimidation and evidence tampering were well-founded, especially considering the financial influence of the accused.
The Court observed that even conditional bail could obstruct the course of justice and directed the trial court to frame charges at the earliest.
