A Delhi Court granted bail to a man who was accused of establishing sexual relations on a false promise of marriage.
The Sikh man was in a relationship with a Muslim woman who alleged that she was taken on multiple trips and forced into unnatural sex, which was recorded without her consent on the pretext of marriage.
However, the Court held that it could not establish any element of pressure or deceit in the relationship, which lasted for 3 and a half years, marked by continued intimacy.
It also held that it was a relationship and not a mere 'situationship', and the sexual relations were undertaken by two consenting Gen Z adults.
