NRAI to Take Legal Action Against Zomato, Swiggy Over 10-Minute Delivery Apps

The National Restaurants Association of India (NRAI), representing over 500,000 eateries, plans to take legal action against Zomato's Blinkit Bistro and Swiggy’s Snacc 10-minute delivery services.

The main concern is data privacy, as restaurants fear their data could be misused to promote the platforms' own private-label brands, affecting restaurant revenues and customer trust.

Talks between NRAI and the companies failed to resolve the issue. NRAI will meet on Wednesday to decide its next steps.

Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal claimed Bistro doesn’t harm the industry and offers lower commissions for short-distance orders, while Blinkit CEO Albinder Dhindsa assured that Zomato’s restaurant data won’t be shared with Bistro.
