Pawan Khera Files Defamation Suit Against Arnab Goswami for Comment that Congress is ‘Enemy of Nation'

Congress leader Pawan Khera has filed a defamation case against Republic TV Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami over remarks made during a live broadcast on Republic TV regarding Operation Sindoor.

Goswami had reportedly stated, “As of now the party is with enemy of the nation, if you are a Congress voter, are you also an enemy of the nation?”  Khera claimed the statement was defamatory.

However, Justice Purushaindra Kumar Kaurav observed that the suit was filed in Khera’s personal capacity while the remarks were directed at the Congress party. The Court directed Khera to amend the plea accordingly. (Pawan Khera v Arnab Goswami & Ors)
