Graduates of SVKM’s Pravin Gandhi College of Law risk losing eligibility to enrol with State Bar Councils as Bar Council of India records show its approval expired after 2016-17.

Alumni seeking judicial services posts say the lack of enrolment blocks the mandatory three-year practice requirement. Ten graduates have petitioned the Bombay High Court Chief Justice, alleging the college continues granting degrees without proof of renewed approval.

While PGCL claims to have applied for renewal, BCI’s moratorium on new colleges and strict inspections raise concerns over possible derecognition.
