P&H High Court Stays Police Action Against Raveena Tandon, Farah Khan, Bharti Singh

The Punjab & Haryana High Court has stayed police notices issued to actor Raveena Tandon, filmmaker Farah Khan, and comedian Bharti Singh in connection with a 2019 web show episode accused of hurting Christian sentiments.

Justice Manisha Batra ordered that no coercive action be taken under Section 35 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) until the next hearing on July 14, 2025

The trio had filed a plea seeking to quash the FIRs, arguing there was no malicious intent in their remarks about the word "Hallelujah."

The Court had previously restrained police from taking action against them.
