P&H High Court Warns Against Baseless Petition Challenging expert Answers in Competitive Exam

The Punjab and Haryana High Court dismissed a plea challenging the answer key for the Junior Engineer (Civil) exam by the Haryana Staff Selection Commission.

The petitioner had claimed that "Yamuna" was the correct answer for a geography question, not "Saraswati," relying on RTI replies and a misinterpreted research paper.

The Court held that personal interpretations cannot override expert evaluations and warned that meritless petitions waste judicial time. (Lakshay Chahal v. Haryana Staff Selection Commission and another)
