A Public Interest Litigation (PIL) has been filed in the Supreme Court seeking a court-monitored Special Investigation Team (SIT) probe into Rahul Gandhi’s allegations of large-scale manipulation of electoral rolls in Bengaluru Central and other constituencies.
Filed by advocate Rohit Pandey, the plea relies on Gandhi’s August 7 press conference alleging bogus entries in Mahadevapura.
The report cites irregularities such as 40,000–50,000 voters with identical details in Karnataka and 80 voters at one address in Maharashtra.
The PIL seeks a court-monitored probe, halting finalisation of rolls, and binding guidelines for transparency and audit in voter lists.
