Plea Filed in Ajmer Court to Block PM Modi's Chadar Offering at Ajmer Sharif Dargah

A plea filed in an Ajmer court seeks a temporary injunction to prevent Prime Minister Narendra Modi from offering a Chadar to Ajmer Sharif Dargah during the Urs of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti.

The plea filed by Hindu Sena President Vishnu Gupta, alleges that the dargah was built on a demolished Shiva temple, making the site a legal dispute.

Gupta argued that sending a Chadar undermines judicial independence and obstructs the case.

The Central government’s gesture, a tradition followed by past PMs, is seen as granting political legitimacy to the disputed site. The court will decide on the matter soon.
