Plea Filed in Supreme Court Against MP HC's Bhojshala Verdict

A petition has been filed before the Supreme Court challenging the Madhya Pradesh High Court’s recent order declaring the disputed Bhojshala-Kamal Maula complex in Dhar as a Hindu temple dedicated to Goddess Saraswati.

The plea, moved by members of the Muslim side, contests the High Court’s decision that ended the long-standing arrangement permitting Friday namaz at the site.

The petition argues that the verdict raises serious concerns relating to religious rights, historical interpretation, and management of the protected monument.

The dispute over the Bhojshala complex has remained a sensitive legal and communal issue for decades.
