PM Modi Issues Seven Appeals for National Self-Reliance Amid West Asia Crisis

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged citizens to prioritize "Nation First Above Comfort" to safeguard India’s economy from the global fallout of the West Asia conflict.

Addressing a gathering in Hyderabad, the Prime Minister warned that rising fuel prices and global instability necessitate collective public action to conserve resources.

He outlined seven key appeals to reduce dependence on imported fuel and protect foreign exchange reserves: reviving work-from-home practices, using fuel with restraint, prioritizing public transport and metro travel, adopting carpooling.

He has also addressed delaying non-essential foreign travel for one year, avoiding unnecessary gold purchases, and shifting toward electric vehicles (EVs) and rail-based cargo transport.
