Punjab and Haryana HC Approves Diljit Dosanjh's Chandigarh Concert

A PIL in the Punjab and Haryana High Court sought directives to the Chandigarh Administration for managing traffic, crowd, and security at Diljit Dosanjh's December 14 concert in Sector 34, Chandigarh.

Concerns were raised regarding potential disruptions based on prior events, including noise pollution exceeding permissible limits and the impact on emergency services and nearby residents.

The administration deployed 2,400 police, arranged off-site parking, and organizers assured noise levels under 75 db and a 10 PM conclusion to address rights concerns under Articles 14, 19, and 21.

The concert was allowed with strict noise regulations. Compliance will be reviewed on December 18.
