Punjab & Haryana High Court Grants Anticipatory Bail to Security Who Tried to Open Fire on Court Officer

The Punjab & Haryana High Court has granted anticipatory bail to a sitting High Court judicial officer’s Personal Security Officer (PSO), Dilbagh Singh, who allegedly fired shots at a court employee in a Gurugram courtroom.

The incident, which occurred during a heated argument, caused panic but no injuries. The court noted the accused’s clean service record and lack of intent to harm, while emphasising the need for a fair investigation.

He apologised to the complainant and stated that in future, he will never approach the complainant nor cause any harm to him or any other family member.
