Punjab Minister Sanjeev Arora Challenges ED Arrest, Says it is Political Vendetta

Punjab Cabinet Minister Sanjeev Arora has approached the Punjab and Haryana High Court challenging his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) under the PMLA.

Represented by Senior Advocate Puneet Bali, Arora alleges that his arrest is a case of "political victimisation" and has sought parity with the relief previously granted to former AAP members who joined the BJP.

The plea contends that the arrest violated statutory safeguards, noting that grounds were provided nine hours late.

Furthermore, Arora asserts that his business transactions were legitimate and fully documented, claiming that the ED’s actions are a pre-determined attempt to circumvent standard legal procedures.
