Rabri Devi Seeks Transfer of CBI & ED Trials Alleging Judicial Bias

Former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi moved the Principal District and Sessions Judge at Rouse Avenue Courts seeking transfer of four pending cases, including the IRCTC scam and cash-for-jobs matters, from the court of the Special Judge.

She alleged a reasonable apprehension of bias, asserting that the presiding judge exhibited an undue inclination toward the prosecution, particularly after charges were framed against her and other accused persons, including Lalu Prasad Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav.

The plea highlights several cases indicating prejudgment of matters. The proceedings involve concurrent prosecutions by the CBI and Enforcement Directorate for corruption and money-laundering offences.
