Delhi High Court: Raj Shamani to Take Down Defamatory Dettol Comments from Podcast

Days after Reckitt Benckiser India moved the Delhi High Court against dermatologist Dr. Manjot Marwah and influencers Raj Shamani and Ritik Chaturvedi for allegedly defamatory claims about Dettol, the matter has seen partial resolution.

YouTuber Raj Shamani informed the Court that he would edit and remove the portion of his podcast where Marwah called Dettol a floor-cleaning liquid harmful to skin. Justice Saurabh Banerjee recorded the undertaking as part of a settlement between the parties.

The court also noted that Marwah and Chaturvedi have taken down related Instagram reels, following Reckitt’s plea alleging damage to Dettol’s brand reputation.
