The Rajasthan High Court dismissed a writ petition filed by a man alleging his wife committed plagiarism in her research thesis, stating that the court cannot be used to settle personal grudges.
The petitioner, after filing a complaint with the University of Rajasthan in 2023, which led to the formation of a probe committee, approached the court when he remained unsatisfied with the university’s response.
The bench ruled that the petitioner’s act was an abuse of legal process and that his role concluded after the initial complaint.
The court emphasized that personal disputes should not burden the judiciary and called the petition baseless and highly misconceived.
