Rajasthan High Court Grants Premature Release to Convict of Mother’s Murder

The Rajasthan High Court has allowed the early release of a man convicted of murdering his mother, dismissing adverse reports from the Police and Social Welfare Departments as mere presumptions.

The division bench of Justices Vinit Kumar Mathur and Anuroop Singhi noted no negative report from jail authorities and considered the petitioner’s jail remission and good conduct.

The Court observed that the State had previously granted permanent parole, which he could not utilize.

Having served over 14 years and being eligible under the Rajasthan Prison Rules, 2006, the Court found no basis to believe his release would threaten family or society.
