The Rajasthan High Court issued wide-ranging directions to address the rise of cyber crimes linked to digital services.
Hearing bail petitions in a digital-arrest scam, the Court observed that existing systems were ill-equipped to address evolving technological threats.
It ordered the creation of a regional cyber command centre, a 24×7 digital forensic lab, stricter SIM regulations, and verification of gig workers through QR-coded IDs and police checks.
It also directed regulation of influencers, mandatory registration of device sellers, stronger banking controls using AI tools, and steps to increase women drivers on platforms like Ola and Uber.
