The Rajasthan High Court has directed the Director General of Police (DGP) to implement the Prohibition of Electronic Cigarettes Act, 2019, and submit a detailed action plan.
This ruling comes in a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) aimed at curbing the use and online sale of e-cigarettes.
A bench of Justice Sanjeev Prakash Sharma and Justice Sanjeet Purohit stated that a team of officers must be created to enforce the law effectively.
The matter is scheduled to be heard again on November 12, 2025.
