The Rajasthan High Court dismissed a petition challenging the State's decision not to grant bonus marks for a Yoga certificate for hiring Physical Training Instructors.
The petitioner took part in an All-India Inter-University Yoga competition and claimed that his certificate should earn him bonus marks.
However, the Court referred to a 2016 notice from the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, which indicated that Yoga is not considered a sport because there are no standardized competitive events.
Since the petitioner lacked a valid sports certificate, the Court decided against him and dismissed the case.
