Revised Income Tax Bill to Be Tabled in Lok Sabha After Withdrawal of Earlier Draft

Union Finance Minister Nirmala  Sitharaman formally withdrew the Income‑Tax Bill, 2025, in the Lok Sabha on August  8, 2025.

The move follows the submission of the Select Committee's report and is aimed at avoiding confusion from multiple drafts.

A revised version incorporating most of the panel’s recommendations, including those related to anonymous donations and taxpayer-friendly provisions, will be presented in the House on August 11,  2025.
