RGNUL Registrar Suspended Amid Allegations of Bigamy, Misconduct, and Sexual Harassment

RGNUL Registrar Dr Anand Pawar has been suspended over allegations of sexual harassment, bigamy, cruelty under Section 498A IPC, and misconduct. 

Despite a 2023 Madhya Pradesh High Court order prohibiting remarriage, Pawar allegedly entered a second marriage with an Associate Professor. He faces sexual harassment allegations, with the Punjab & Haryana High Court directing him to pay ₹3 lakh in damages. 

Pawar is accused of financial irregularities, including self-allocating perks such as Registrar and Officiating Vice-Chancellor, and academic violations such as unauthorized PhD supervision. 

The suspension order, citing moral turpitude, mandates an inquiry and prohibits him from tampering with evidence.
