The Supreme Court has adjourned the hearing of bail petitions of JNU student activist, Umar Khalid, along with Sharjeel Imam, Meeran Haider and Gulfisha Fatima in the Delhi riots larger conspiracy case till September 19, 2025.

The petitions have been filed against the order of the Delhi High Court, which dismissed such applications.

The Bench said it faced difficulty in taking up the matter as the case files were delivered late at night.

The four face charges under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA) and IPC for allegedly planning the 2020 communal violence.
