Supreme Court Cancels Father's Custody For Not Providing Home-Cooked Food and Care

The Supreme Court rejected the father's interim custody over the child as he failed to provide home-cooked food and care, violating Kerala High Court conditions.

The eight-year-old daughter expressed unease with the 15-day custody and confirmed reliance on outside food and lack of companionship during this period.

The Supreme Court emphasised children's welfare as the objective of custody and not the logistical arrangements or emotional appeal of parents.

The father was granted visitation with the daughter on alternate weekends and limited, supervised interaction with the son. Additionally, video calls with both children were permitted twice a week.
